Reino Karjalainen

Reino Alexander Karjalainen, 90, of Sebeka, MN died on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his nephew's home where he was being cared for by family and Hospice. Reino was born to Alexander and Sandra (Korhonen) Karjalainen on March 17, 1931 at home in Huntersville Township. Reino worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the Army on February 17, 1953. He was honorably discharged in January of 1955. He came back to the farm and farmed with his brother Ragnar. He sold the farm in 2006 and moved into Sebeka with his sister Gertrude. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ragnar, sisters, Ellen Efraimson, Esther Putikka, Gertrude Karjalainen, nephews, Jon Efraimson and Stanley Putikka. Reino is survived by nieces, nephews and his church family. Funeral Services will be held on 11:00 AM Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Menahga City Cemetery.
