Ryan Edward Burkman

Ryan Edward Burkman, 37, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home in Crosby, MN. He was born November 22, 1984 in Fargo, ND, the son of Randy Burkman and Lonnie Odland. He attended Menahga Public schools, where he pitched for the baseball team, earning his nick name "Little Bib". Ryan loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and collecting agates. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. Ryan never missed an opportunity to make memories with Madden, and his pup, Bentley. The trio made Ryans heart complete. Ryan had the kindest soul, and a smile that lit up the room. Those who knew Ryan, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Ryan will be missed everyday by his son, Madden, and Maddens brother, Mason, parents Randy (Jean) Burkman of Winthrop MN, and Lonnie Odland of Menahga; his brother Skyler Howard (Joe Schweitzer), of Park Rapids, Sister Jessica (Scott) Wright, of Vancouver, British Columbia. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Proceeded in death by his Grandparents Herbert and Gladys Burkman, as well as Donald and Rita Odland. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wevley Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service.
