Sheryle Jane Alajoki

Sheryle Jane Alajoki, age 82, of Menahga, MN died peacefully surrounded by family on May 13, 2020. Sheryle was born March 14th, 1938 at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN to Arthur and Louise (Kain) Denman. Sheryle graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1957. She started to work for Northwestern Bell in Park Rapids in 1957. In 1961, she transferred over to the Detroit Lakes office and continued to work there until she retired in 1986. May 2nd, 1969 she married Jeremia (Jerry) Alajoki. They made their home in rural Menahga, MN. Sheryle enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading, baking and cooking. She especially looked forward to Christmas baking with her family. She faithfully attended Menahga Apostolic Lutheran Church, an extension to New York Mills Apostolic Lutheran Church. She had a love for animals, especially for her two dogs Misty and the late Muffet. Sheryle is survived by her loving faithful husband Jeremia Alajoki, who she shared 61 years with. She is also survived by her siblings Barb Maninga (Menahga), Roger Denman (Wadena), sister-in-law Lynne Denman (Park Rapids), brother-in-law Otto Alajoki (Menahga) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Louise Denman, brother LeRoy Denman, brother-in-law Wilfred Maninga, and sister-in-law Connie Denman.
