Susanna Mae Olson

Susanna Mae (Lempiainen) Olson passed away January 3, 2022 at the age of 59 at her home in Wadena, MN. Sue was born on September 23, 1962, in Wadena, MN to Joel and Pauline (Coffland) Lempiainen. She was raised in Menahga, MN and graduated from Menahga High School. Sue was married to Mark Ahlf they resided in Menahga, MN. She moved to Wadena MN, where she met and married Pete Ulschmid they settled down in Wadena, MN. In 1998 Sue met Tom Olson and they married and continued to live in Wadena, MN. Sue was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others. Sue always made sure new tenants felt welcome at the Apartment Building where she lived in, Wadena, MN. Her favorite color is Pink, and Sue loved roses. She always helping out at family get-togethers with a smile on her face. Sue enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved the 80's radio stations. Sue was a story teller and loved to make us all laugh with stories of the past. Sue will be missed by many friends and family. She will always be remembered and loved from all that knew her. Sue is survived by her siblings, Paula (Curt) Dormanen of Nevis, MN; Matilda Lempiainen of Hermantown, MN; Melvin Lempiainen (Mami) of Sarasota FL; Lewis (Sacha) Lempiainen of Anoka, MN; her ex-husband Tom Olson of Wadena, MN; many nieces and nephews and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her parents Joel Lempiainen, Pauline (Coffland) Lempiainen, and ex-husband Pete Ulschmid. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 14, 2022 at First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
